Leane and William are quickly settling in to their new place. Quickly enough for them to have us over as their first guests on Sunday evening. Thanks guys, for a lovely evening and here's to many more like that in your new home :) We'll do those chorizo tacos any time!
At this stage in my treatment, with the help of a mother-in-law who's is overly excited with the promises offered by "alternative medicine," I have decided to open up my mind a little and see what these folks have to say. Last week we saw a chap who sang the praises of some supplements that can be purchased in the nutrition section of your nearest food store including Maitake & Reishe mushrooms, Astragalus, Fish Oil, Milk Thistle. Certainly can't hurt trying, right? Well, hoping to find some consenses we visited a Chiropractor/Homeopath/Holistic medicine doctor yesterday. He started off by making a lot of common sense initially and then he exposed me to the *science* of Applied Kinesiology (you'll notice a link to Quackwatch from the Wikipedia page). This is when my scam artist sirens started to sound. His muscle testing resulted in the fact that all the tested NIKKEN products would be good match for me
I know this took much longer than it should have, but better late... You can find the pictures here.
I'm beginning to feel sufficiently scolded at the lack of new pictures on this blog. So sorry folks! After having more than enough time and not knowing what to do with it all, we've gone to the opposite extreme (although Innochka will probably pack out laughing about now and tell you how all my time is spent in front of the TV). After a terrific weather weekend and spending some time at the Botanic Gardens, I believe we may have snapped a few keepers of the expectant mother, not to mention the photos from the surprise party a few weeks back. I'll do my very best to get something up this week.
Leane & William have staged their online presence. Take a look, especially if you're interested in seeing a couple of "surprise party" pics ('cause you ain't gonna see them here, at least not for a little while).
My revisiting puberty did not end with the squeaky voice at the beginning of this year. Tarceva now has me breaking out in pimples and a rather unpleasant rash. Seems that this is quite a common side-effect. I really do hope it improves over the next few weeks. Suffering the indignity of a pimply face is meant to happen only once in a guys lifetime!
After almost a day without any kicks from little Daniel, Innochka began to do what all mother's seem to excel at - worry. In fact, she was close to tears yesterday, feeling for the first time what it is to worry for one's child, even an unborn child. No doubt this is a feeling she will become quite accustomed to over the months and years ahead. I'm sure I'll get my fair share of gray hairs too. Gratefully, after what must have been a restful Sunday for him, Danny began kicking and was doing so quite furiously as we turned in for the evening. She was smiling contently as I drifted off to sleep. I wonder if she will still be smiling in two months time (having merely heard that the kicking can become quite bothersome)?
Inna having reached roughly the midway between months six and seven in her pregnancy has begun to demonstrate the nesting trait the pregnancy books so fondly described. It is after all imperative that everything be in order for little Daniel's arrival and the two remaining months leave no time to even debate this. There is something quite charming about seeing the expectant mother swimming in a pile of hand-me-downs sifting out the keepers. And there is the question of whether or not the three strollers we have suddenly come into the possession of will be enough?
