Thanksgiving

Enjoyed our first Thanksgiving and first major meal in our new home yesterday with the in-laws, even in the absence of furniture. Everything turned out mostly well and the High-Roast Turkey recommended by David Greenfield was a major success, even when our new oven decided to fail on us just minutes away from the whole lot being done. Saved by our microwave oven; one thing I was extremely thankful for.

It didn't take long after for the Tryptophan to start kicking in.

Moved In?

A month ago we moved out to make our condo available to the tenant and finally, after three months of remodeling, we moved into our new home this Sunday. What a relief, right? Well not exactly. There are a bunch of small items that remain on the to-do list, not least of which is to get the refrigerator installed; a game I don't want to play anymore (having stayed home Monday to find out there was a scheduling mix-up, and with another scheduling misunderstanding yesterday while Inna was home sick means it won't be installed until Saturday, assuming our schedules are in sync). So I guess the truth is we are still moving in. And considering the amount of unpacking we have left to do, we are going to be moving in for quite a while...

Big thanks to the in-laws who have put us up this last month and who've had to clean up after Danny's "monkeying around" (when it comes to playing with and throwing diaper contents).
