4 Down. How many more to go?

They say this is a buyer's market. That doesn't mean it's easy to buy a home. We've now had 4 unsuccessful attempts and find ourselves back at square one. Just this week, our accepted offer on a foreclosure (pending the signed paperwork) fell-through when some party came in a put in an "a much higher" offer, waived inspection and legal representation and got the house - all without any word to us until it was signed sealed and delivered. Now doesn't that smell rotten? A real pity of course, since we were head-over-heals in love with that place. What are the chances we'll get lucky on house number 5?

New York City

Enjoyed our first trip ever to the Big Apple this past weekend. This was my birthday gift from Innochka and boy-oh-boy, did we have a good time! Thanks to Natalya and David for putting us up and to William for squeezing some time in from his exam prep. Obviously the three days we had was not nearly enough to take in the city which means we'll just have to go back (and soon, we hope). Central Park blew us away; we'd go back just for that.
