FamilyCount++

We're celebrating the arrival of another little Mac with the birth of Amy to my brother Karl and his fiance, Katie. She came in at a spritely 6 pounds 10 ounces, smaller than anticipated and his a happy, healthy and apparently very happy little girl. The rest of the details are blurry since we were woken to the good news just before 5am this morning.

Continued Stability

My three month routine continued last week with another check-up at Rush Hospital just outside the loop. Continued stability is observed which keeps things on the level for 6+ months; news that we are all delighted with. I asked the doc about dichloroacetate (something that has been in the news recently). He hasn't heard of it and I'm hoping that's because it's so new rather than anything else (more sinister or otherwise).

The Holidays

2007 begins as 2006 ended; too bloody quickly. I feel like I'm losing my grip on time and falling into a spin that is the daily routine. Christmas and New Year flew past but were enjoyed in the company of the in-laws. The link will take you to some pictures taken over the holidays. During the course of December, we did manage to get in some skiing and ice-skating, in addition to all the gift-shopping. It wasn't Japan mind you, but it kept us busy, not including Daniel :-)
