Chestnut Mountain - My New Favorite (Midwest) Ski Spot

Gena helped me kick off the ski season yesterday with a trip to Galena's Chestnut Mountain. A really beautiful Midwest ski resort overlooking the Mississippi River almost at the Northwest tip of Illinois. About three hours drive from our home and considering the slopes, it's the perfect destination for a day of skiing. Unfortunately we just missed out on their "Dollar Days" special and had to fork over the full fare for the lift tickers :( The beautiful weather and excellent conditions made it all very much worth it. Also demoed Rozi's current season ski's and realized just how bad my skis really are. Too bad, they'll have to last a couple more seasons before we consider upgrading them. I've got to say that Innochka was just an angel letting me go off and have fun while she was stuck at home taking care of the little guy. I guess I owe her :|

By "Rozi's" skis, I can only assume you mean Rossignol, which is of course a main competitor of the company from which one of your friends works for. Not to pressure you, but Malora is fairly high maintenance and expensive and I'm afraid if you buy a set of Rossignol ski's I may have to send her back to the States to live with you and Inna.

Good luck changing her diaper!!!
